Marti
I'm the local girl. I'm from Auburn, New York and seems like I've been doing radio forever. The time goes by so fast!

I'm from Auburn, an hour east on the thruway. I went to Cayuga Community College in Auburn and University of Buffalo to learn how to talk on the radio!

I had opportunities for radio gigs in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago, but chose to stay here, close to my family. I did what I call my "Thruway Tour". Other than Rochester, I've worked as News Director/Disc Jockey at stations in Auburn, Geneva, Utica, Syracuse, and Buffalo, where I met my husband, Bill, a broadcast engineer by trade.

I spend my time working at Fickle and raising my daughter and son in the lovely town of Henrietta! I am a true Gemini--I am a multi-tasker...I love doing ten things at once and have a wide range of interests. I love a challenge! I love being one of the co-leaders for my daughter's Cadette Girl Scout Troop. I always have to have a project to work on. I also emcee Bridal Shows for Rochester Wedding Planner Magazine in winter and fall. I plan on doing my first triathlon next June in Pittsford, barring any injuries!

Likes: Spending time with my family, Going out to dinner (I love all kinds of food!), Margaritas (on the rocks with salt, please), Starbucks, football, strength training, boxing, spinning, hanging out with the girls, classic movies and TV, chocolate covered pretzels, Dr. Pepper, Pez. I love reality shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, Shear Genius, The Biggest Loser, America's Next Top Model and Real Housewives of New Jersey, etc.

Random Facts: Flew traffic copter in Buffalo, wrestled in chocolate pudding and cherry jello (OK, Dino...no tacky comments, please), was once stuck to a velcro wall, Garth Brooks got me a beer backstage at one of his concerts, kissed Harry Chapin and gave him a kitten 3 months before he was killed in that car crash, worked backstage at Huey Lewis and U-2 concerts at CCC (got my picture take with Huey and nearly got hit by the Zamboni Bono was driving during concert cleanup), If I wasn't a radio announcer, I'd be a fitness instructor--I love to see people get healthy and strong! I also love interior designing.
